Last Z Beginner Survival Guide: Basics, AvA, SvS & Glory War

Strong early progress comes from coordinated upgrades, one focused formation, disciplined saving, and following alliance and state orders during major events. Event schedules can change by server, season, and patch, so the live event screen and leadership instructions remain final.

Join an active alliance early

Alliance help, rallies, gifts, event rewards, protection, and experienced commanders accelerate growth. Read alliance mail, state mail, Discord, and map markers before major events.

Keep builders and research working

Plan the next HQ checkpoint before starting long upgrades, keep construction and research active whenever practical, and check prerequisite buildings so progress does not stall.

Build one main formation first

Focus rare fragments, skill books, stars, and strong equipment on one useful five-hero formation and main faction before spreading resources across secondary heroes.

Train troops without ignoring hospitals

Train steadily, watch hospital capacity, prepare troop presets, and heal in manageable batches when alliance help is available. A full hospital during war week can turn a small mistake into a large loss.

Save valuable items until they score

Speedups, hero fragments, recruitment tickets, Golden Wrenches, vehicle materials, research items, and troop-training resources are usually worth more on the matching event day.

AvA week: review the six-day plan

The common Alliance Duel rhythm is Vehicle, Building, Research, Heroes, Troop Training, then Combat. Confirm the current schedule, chest target, and whether leadership wants a full push or a save week before spending.

AvA week: spend on the matching day

Use vehicle materials on the vehicle day, construction completions on building day, research items on research day, hero resources on hero day, and training speedups on troop day. On combat day, follow targets, shield when needed, and avoid feeding easy points.

SvS preparation

Score only with the items listed for the current preparation day, stock healing speedups, resources, teleports, shields, and season energy, and move only when state or alliance leadership assigns a position.

SvS combat and Capital Clash

Stay with the assigned group, join correct rallies, reinforce designated players or structures, heal in batches, and focus on towers, turrets, the capital, and state objectives instead of chasing isolated kills.

Glory War preparation

Confirm the start time, lane, city, route, rally role, and defensive position. Prepare formations, equipment, hospital space, teleports, shields, healing speedups, and any season-specific fuel before the event begins.

Glory War execution

Follow the marked target order, keep marches available for rallies, reinforce key positions, watch travel time, heal carefully, and protect territory behind the front line. Solo attacks should never override alliance strategy.

Respect NAP and state rules

Do not attack protected players or alliances unless leadership authorizes it. During invasions, shield before going offline and avoid random base placement that blocks defensive lines or stronger commanders.

Common beginner mistakes

Avoid spending everything immediately, upgrading too many factions, ignoring event mail, entering combat with no healing reserve, leaving the base exposed, and chasing personal kills while the alliance loses the actual objective.
